Anna Sokalska, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Anna Sokalska is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist with deep expertise in fertility preservation, IVF, and reproductive surgery. She brings over two decades of clinical, research, and teaching experience from leading academic institutions in the U.S. and Europe to NOVA.

Dr. Sokalska completed her medical degree summa cum laude and her Ph.D. at Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Europe and the U.S., completing her residency and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Pennsylvania. She further honed her expertise through advanced training at the University of California, Davis, and the Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole.

Most recently, Dr. Sokalska served as Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she led the Fertility Preservation Program and the ROSE Biobank. She is widely recognized for her leadership in oncofertility, guiding patients facing cancer through options to preserve their fertility before treatment. Dr. Sokalska has also mentored countless medical students, residents, and fellows, shaping the next generation of reproductive endocrinologists.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Sokalska has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on topics including PCOS, endometriosis, endometrial receptivity, and fertility preservation. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics and as a board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Sokalska is passionate about patient-centered care, combining cutting-edge science with a compassionate, individualized approach to help patients achieve their family-building goals. She is fluent in English and Polish and deeply committed to improving access to fertility care for all.
